Before the Funeral: What happens first?

The first steps after a death can feel overwhelming. We’re here to make things easier by guiding you through the immediate decisions that need to be made - choosing burial or cremation, arranging when and where the funeral will take place, and helping you decide where to have a wake or repose.

We’ll also liaise with hospitals, nursing homes, clergy or celebrants, musicians, cemeteries and crematoria on your behalf. If the death has occurred abroad, we can arrange repatriation to or from Ireland.

Our Funeral Home

Our funeral home in Belmullet offers a peaceful, private space where families can spend time with their loved one, receive visitors, or even hold the funeral service itself. It is fully accessible, with modern facilities and ample parking, and can be used for both public and private gatherings.

If you prefer, we can also arrange for the person to repose at home, or to have a combination of both home and funeral home gatherings.

After the Funeral: Support continues

Our care doesn’t end with the funeral. We’re here to guide you through the days and weeks afterwards — including registering the death, settling the funeral account, choosing a memorial, or arranging for ashes to be buried or scattered if cremation has taken place.

We’re also available to advise on aftercare, memorial Masses, headstone inscriptions, and any other support you may need.
